Pumpkin Spiced French Toast

This week I’m continuing the fall inspired recipe series with this pumpkin spiced french toast.

This recipe is extremely easy to make - if you’ve made french toast before, it’s essentially just the spices that we are switching up. Perfect for a crisp morning, this recipe will give you all of the cozy feelings.

I think this is a great breakfast menu addition this thanksgiving if you are looking for new ideas!

Did you give this Pumpkin Spiced French Toast a try? If so, let me know what you thought! I always love to get your feedback.

What you’ll need:

  • Sliced sourdough bread (or any bread of choice)

  • 2 eggs

  • 2/3 cup milk (I use cows milk, but feel free to use any milk you like)

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/4 pumpkin pie spice

  • Maple syrup for drizzling

Instructions:

  1. Whisk the eggs and milk together in a small bowl

  2. Combine the spices in a separate small bowl

  3. Heat a frying pan on low-medium heat and melt the butter

  4. One slice at a time, take a piece of bread and dip it into the egg and milk mixture. Sprinkle the spices on either side of the bread and place it onto the frying pan. Cook for 4-5 minutes per side or until golden brown and crispy

  5. Repeat with remaining slices

  6. Top with your favourite fruit and drizzle with maple syrup

    Enjoy!
